Purpose

Create the first feature-length documentary filmed with 360º technology, designed for Extended Reality devices, telling the story of one of Asturias' most iconic cultural routes through a deep and inspiring narrative.

Client

On the initiative of Immersive Oasis, in collaboration with Furious Koala and with funding from the Government of Spain, through the Ministry of Culture and the PRTR - Spain; as well as Next GenerationEU.

“El Camín de los Santuarios” is the first immersive feature documentary. A project that brings together the past and present of one of Asturias’ most iconic cultural routes. It offers a vision of the passage of time from the Middle Ages, through images of landscapes, cultural values, and the secrets of history.

The narrative follows a contemporary pilgrim who, guided by the diary of their ancestor, unravels the secrets, significance, and perception of this sacred path.

Through a combination of 360º technology and interviews with experts, the documentary weaves together the present and the past to provide a deep insight into the origins, symbolism, and significance of this route. Each testimony unveils a key piece of history, while the immersive images transport the viewer into the landscapes, traditions, and emotions of those who have travelled this path throughout the centuries.

Some of the most symbolic places included in this documentary to tell this story:

  • Santo Toribio de Liébana
  • Iglesia de San Vicente en Potes
