From October 22 to 25, 2025, Granada hosted a new edition of the Spanish Society of Cardiology (SEC) Congress, one of the most important events of the year for cardiovascular health professionals. For the second consecutive year, Immersive Oasis had the privilege of collaborating with Daiichi Sankyo Spain to create a unique immersive experience that combined technological innovation with the presentation of medical data.
The SEC Congress is the main national meeting point for cardiology professionals in Spain, providing comprehensive educational updates to stay current in a constantly evolving specialty. The event emphasizes innovation and offers opportunities to connect with leading experts in the cardiovascular field.
The congress brings together scientific sessions, clinical and technological presentations, an exhibition area, and formats that allow participation both in-person and online.
Additionally, the congress integrates a commitment to sustainability by incorporating responsible practices in its organization and operations.

One of the most exciting aspects of this project was setting up the immersive experience area within the Daiichi Sankyo booth. Working with a limited space and based on the client’s concept, we were able to create an experience that transformed part of the booth into an exclusive virtual environment.
The Location-Based Experience (LBE) system of the PICO XR 4 Ultra Enterprise devices requires precise physical space configuration. Each device must be accurately calibrated so that virtual elements align perfectly with the real environment.
The experience we designed for SEC 2025 took participants on a journey through Japan, blending the physical booth space with virtual elements seamlessly integrated into the environment.
Along the way, different elements revealed interactive and visual data related to patient treatment. Healthcare professionals could explore this information intuitively, using hand tracking to interact directly with virtual elements—no external controllers required.
This fusion of the real and virtual worlds created a unique experience: visitors physically walked through the booth while passing through a portal that immersed them in the virtual environment.

The use of PICO XR 4 Ultra Enterprise devices was essential for delivering this experience. Two major technical achievements stood out: precise hand tracking in a mixed reality environment using the LBE system, and the virtual integration of some physical booth elements, blurring the line between the real and digital.
Unlike experiences that require controllers, visitors could interact naturally with virtual elements simply by extending their hands. This intuitive interaction removed entry barriers and made the experience accessible to anyone, regardless of prior familiarity with immersive technologies.
During the congress, more than 300 doctors and healthcare professionals experienced the simulation with the following outcomes:
No cases of dizziness or discomfort: Despite many participants experiencing Extended Reality for the first time, no issues were reported.
Highly positive feedback: Professionals highlighted both the educational value of the experience and its innovative and engaging nature.
Exceptional engagement: All participants completed the experience from start to finish.
Scalable project: Plans are underway to incorporate this experience in future events as a product demonstration with informative and entertaining elements.
This project demonstrates once again how Extended Reality can transform the way complex information is presented in professional environments. The goal is to create tools that genuinely add value, making medical data more intuitive and memorable.
Daiichi Sankyo Spain continues to prioritize innovation as an integral part of its communication strategy with healthcare professionals. Their trust in our immersive solutions inspires us to keep exploring new ways to integrate technology and valuable content.
