The company Daiichi Sankyo held the second edition of Metacardio, an event dedicated to sustainable cardiovascular innovation, which Immersive Oasis was honoured to be part of. The event explored how technology can improve outcomes in cardiovascular disease treatment, medical research and patient monitoring. During the event, we presented the Doctopedia XR project, a new immersive medical training platform that promises to revolutionise medical education through virtual reality spaces. The project is a technological evolution of Daiichi Sankyo’s Doctopedia.es web platform, which, by betting on our team, demonstrates its commitment to innovation in addressing cardiovascular risk factors.
Metacardio, which was attended by more than 100 healthcare professionals, explored how new technologies, such as Virtual Reality (VR) and Artificial Intelligence (AI), will transform the prevention and treatment of cardiovascular diseases. The event included several presentations and metaworkshops aimed at healthcare professionals.
Metacardio was the setting for the presentation of Doctopedia XR, a Virtual Reality training platform for healthcare professionals. This platform will allow the acquisition of practical skills in a safe and controlled Virtual Reality environment and represents an evolution of Doctopedia, Daiichi Sankyo’s online medical education platform.
Through this platform, which is the result of the joint work of Daiichi Sankyo and Immersive Oasis, a company specialising in innovative immersive solutions, it will be possible to recreate various clinical scenarios in which healthcare professionals can practice and improve their skills in virtual simulations, with training experiences that are difficult to replicate in the real world, such as:
An innovative game of Escape Room in LBE (Location Based Entertainment) was developed as part of and for the event.
💡LBE is a Location Based Virtual Reality system, a collection of hardware and software components that allow users to perceive and experience a virtual environment within the real world.
In this challenge, the participants, organised into teams of five, had to complete different levels while learning part of the history and values of Daiichi Sankyo. Each level consisted of a series of tests to be completed as a group. These included activities such as accurately mixing chemicals or correctly placing molecules discovered by Daiichi Sankyo. This interactive experience not only encouraged collaboration and teamwork, but also provided a dynamic way to discover the technological possibilities of LBE technology.
