Last May, we had the opportunity to take part in the 3rd Asturias Science and Innovation Fair, an event organised by the Department of Science, Industry and Employment of the Principality of Asturias, FICYT, Agencia Sekuens, and CEEI Asturias. Held at the iconic Fábrica de Armas de La Vega, the fair has become an important meeting point between the educational community and the Asturian science and technology ecosystem.
Now in its third edition, this initiative aims to inspire scientific vocations among young people and to strengthen links between schools and research institutions, showcasing the talent and innovation being developed in our region.
Once again, at Immersive Oasis we had the privilege of hosting our own stand. Our presence focused on demonstrating the potential of Extended Reality (XR) technologies applied to sectors such as healthcare and culture.

A smoother user experience with a more intuitive interface, based on feedback gathered from previous editions.
Integration with the latest-generation Pico Ultra Enterprise devices, which significantly enhanced the quality of the immersive experience.
A series of gamified therapeutic exercises which, although originally designed for people undergoing rehabilitation, sparked the competitive spirit of young visitors eager to achieve the highest scores in the mini-games.

Virtual tours of iconic cities such as Rome, allowing visitors to “travel” and explore international destinations.
Immersive journeys through Colombia, highlighting the country’s rich cultural and natural diversity.
A special tour of some of the most picturesque corners of Asturias, which became a fun challenge for attendees as they tested their ability to recognise the region’s most emblematic landmarks.
Sharing the space with other innovative projects allowed us to appreciate the vitality of Asturias’s scientific and technological ecosystem. The fair hosted numerous stands presenting fascinating initiatives in areas as diverse as robotics, artificial intelligence, renewable energy, and biotechnology.
This variety of projects reflects the strong interest in science and innovation across our region, creating an inspiring environment for both young students and professionals in the sector.
We would like to thank the organisers for creating this space for exchange and collaboration, which undoubtedly helps to promote scientific vocations and build bridges between the educational sphere and the innovation ecosystem. We look forward to taking part in future editions and continuing to showcase advancements in the field of Extended Reality.
